Who is your favourite voice?

Mine is Sarah McLachlan who will release a new pop CD
in 2012 and tour it (I hope) in summer 2012. But I
hope she can be persuaded to do a folk CD as a side
project after that. (She has collaborated with
The Chieftains before.)

It depends entirely on the peice being done

Mary Fahl (Former lead singer of October Project) has that deep,
huskyness that dives right into you - her two solo projects are
incredible

Moya Brennan (Clannad) has the perfect voice for ballads

Karen Matheson (Capercaillie) and Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh (Altan) hit the
highs with clear perfection

For pop singers - Christina Aguilera has probably the best range of
anyone
