There was a flurry of discussion on rec.music.bluenote a couple of
months ago about Joe Harriott and how dreadful it was that you can no
longer get his records. For the uninitiated, Harriott was a West Indian
born sax player who recorded in London in the 50's and 60's.
Its claimed that he made technical advances similar to those of Ornette
etc without any contact with the US scene.
Here then is a relatively complete discography.
There's still a few gaps but what we really want
is not a perfect discography but a reissue programme..
Of course if anyone can fill in the gaps I'd be happy to hear from them..
