Hey Folks, enthusiastically reporting from a good headspace but one
that's also compromised in the realm of digital tools. The office
computer is down for the count. The spirited red tee shirt clad Apple
devotees at the Apple Store are figuring it out but in the meantime I'm
outputting this gig email via my old laptop and for this week we'll do
without the fancy graphics and just huddle down in the company of the
basic deets. Limping along in paradise. Still a good life!

I'm heading over to the Roxy tonight for some solo guitar. Haven't been
there in a long time and it's only because of my travel schedule have I
missed so many of those magic Thursday's. It's still one of my favorite
gigs--transcending between tunes, just me and the guitar and the
machines. And then add in the flavor of the good people of North
County, the Roxy bliss of falafel, the cool Christmas factor where
folks are gearing up for some time off and finally a little scoop of
ice cream at the end. It's a certifiable no-brainer night out on the
town if you ask me. Hope to see you there if you can squeeze it in.

Also this week we're gearing up for a free concert in Pacific Beach on
Saturday with vocalist Kevyn Lettau and myself at the Pacific Beach
Surf Shop. When I was an 11 year-old kid in grade school, that years
Christmas present from my folks was a trip down to the Pacific Beach
Surf Shop to order a new surfboard. Up to that point I only rode used
beaters and it was finally time to start from ground zero and get a
board that was built to my tastes and physical attributes. I remember
the thrill of filling out the order form and indicating how I wanted
the tail to be, how wide I wanted the board and what colors would look
good. Stoke factor nine right there! The PB Surf Shop is where this all
went down and the amazing thing is the shop is still alive today. I
think it went out of commission for a while but a cool fellow named
Randy took a hold of it some year's back and to this day keeps the good
vibe spinning. It turns out that Randy takes vocal lessons from Kevyn
and the two of them put the idea together to present a show at the
shop. He's got space there for folks to sit and listen and it'll be
festive and soulful and filled with the good spirit of PB and
Christmas. The music starts at 4PM and you'll still have time to fit in
that party in the evening. Please join Kevyn and I for some good music
and a classic Endless Summer night in Pacific Beach. I'm currently
polishing up the tricky lick in "Wipe-out" for ya...hahhh....

That's it good people. Stay well and keep the sky in your head. adios,
Peter
