MADONNA URGES FANS TO SEE   'FAHRENHEIT 9/11'

Singer praises film during her New York concert Wednesday.

Michael Moore has got Madonna's vote - she urged fans
during her concert Wednesday night at New York's Madison
Square Garden to go see his provocative new film, "Fahrenheit 9/11."

In what seemed to be a genuine, unscripted moment, the singer
told the audience - which included the filmmaker himself - that
she had just seen the film and that it had really affected her.
Moore had screened the film to a crowd of celebrities and members
of the press on Monday at New York's Ziegfeld Theater.

"I don't think I've ever cried so hard at a movie in my life," Madonna
said during a break in her performance. "And I'm sure I still have
a lot to learn from it."

Madonna had originally tried to create a statement against the war
in Iraq herself, via her "American Life" video (see "Madonna
Defends Her Violent 'American Life' Video"), which was first edited
and then withdrawn altogether because she had feared a backlash
(see "Madonna Yanks Controversial 'American Life' Video").

The idea survives in her live set, when she flashes stark images of
war on various screens behind her, and her dancers dress like soldiers
during the performance of that song. She also covers John Lennon's
peace song "Imagine" during her set.

Madonna also acknowledged Moore's presence and thanked him
for making the film, which opens in New York on Wednesday and
nationwide on June 25.

"Not only is it inspiring and educating, but it's proof that people can
make a difference, that we can make a difference," she said. "So, Michael,
I know you're out there tonight, and I just wanted to publicly thank you
for sticking your neck out, for going against the establishment, for
giving us the hope."

Don't sneer, Derek.  I saw Madonna in Las Vegas and her sincere take on
"Imagine"-plus the video accompaniment- was a highpoint of the concert.

Madonna's a whore. That's why she's a liberal. She's a Jew these days
and and British one at that. Of all the people to come along in popular
culture she's by far the most insufferable. WHEN will she shut up,
especially now, with her fake English accent---she of the working class,
why isn't her English accent working class?

So the fake Brit fake talent fake Hebrew worships at the alter of some
jewdoo cult and sings imagine there's no heaven. No contradiction there
unless she's saying "I wish I didn't have to be Jewish". There's not as
real Jew alive who thinks there is or should be "nothing to kill or die
for", or "no religion too"

Lennon's song was a nice bit of early 70's liberal argle bargle
containing sentiments that he didn't really believe. His wife was a cult
leader with no cult. Liberals worship at the cult of showbiz and use
showbiz to acquire their values and opinions. Only in Liberalism could
some filthy Italian chick from Michigan be somebody important.

You must just love the sound of your voice as you read these screeds
aloud in your bathroom.  TJ, the great orator!

When a pop star turns a concert into a conservative Republican political
rally--that's news. When a pop star turns a concert into a liberal
Democrat political rally--that's the showbiz merely being the organism
that it is: the propaganda arm of the Democrat party. To make news of
that would be to imply that there's something wrong with disguising the
liberal agenda as entertainment for young people. She's more dupe than
whore, actually.

Hold the phone! I think the conservatives have a long history of paid
companions.

I think Salvabore has the monopoly on anti-Semitism in rmb.

Actually, she ISN'T. She grew up with ballet lessons and other extras
in Rochester, MI (mostly). She pretends her life was rougher than it
was, in the tradition of Mick Jagger and so many others.

Uhhhhh---you taking lessons from Salvadump?

And you know this because---?

Ever hear of Jim and Tammy Bakker?  Ever hear of the money George
Harrison gave away? For that matter, lots of celebs you'd consider
flaming radical lefties care a lot about causes that may not make them
more popular, and they put their $$$ where their mouths are. (Richard
Gere and Tibet. The many feminists such as Whoopi Goldberg & Cybill
Shepherd  who came to DC for the March for Women's Lives this past
April.)

Only in Liberalism could

Whaaaaat, now you checked out her bathwater? And what's your problem
with Michigan?

The pathetic Australian, I think he works harder cutting and pasting my
posts and digging up my past than with anybody else here. In a way, I'm
honored.

I'm honored that you keep my words and my thoughts on your hard drive
permanently. I'm honored that you could killfile me but you just can't
find it in yourself to miss what I say. I'm honored that you go to bed
at night, turn off the light, then turn it on again, get out of bed,
turn on your computer, go to rmb, then really zing me good. Oh, God, you
wound me.
