13 February
1963 Transmision of performance for ABC-TV's `Thank Your Lucky
Stars'.
1964 Start of stay at Miami. Dezo Hoffmann is with them.
1965 Brighton. Ringo and Maureen's wedding trip.
1965 Brian, Marianne Faithfull, Adrienne Posta and Ted Ray appear
on `Juke Box Jury'.
1966 Brian throws a party at 24 Chapel Street. Guests, among
others: Cilla Black, Gerry and the Pacemakers and wives,
John and Cynthia, Ringo and Maureen, Paul and Peter Asher.
1967 US single release: `Strawberry Fields Forever'/`Penny Lane'.
1967 Studio 2. 7.00pm-3.30am. Mono mixing: `A Day In The Life'.
Recording: `Not Known' (working title of `Only A Northern
Song'). Rythm track.
1968 Ringo sings with Cilla `Do You Like Me Just A little Bit',
on BBC-TV,

14 February
1963 Concert at the Locarno Ballroom.
1965 Ringo retruns from Briggton to London.

1969 Clive Epstein receives a letter from John Eastman about

the Top 100 (Billboard).
`She Loves You', 4th week in the Top 100 (Billboard).
`Please Please Me', 3rd week in the Top 100 (Billboard).
`I Saw Her Standing There', 2nd week in the Top 100
(Billboard).
1964 10.00-12.00am. BBC's `Saturday Club' broadcast (recorded 7
January 1964).
1965 US single release: `Eight Days A Week'/`I Don't Want To
Spoil The Party'.
1965 Studio 2. 2.30-5.45pm. Recording: `Ticket To Ride'.
Studio 2. 7.00-10.30pm. Recording: `Another Girl'; `I Need
You'.
Start of `Help!' sessions.
A new recording technique is used: i) Rehearsals with tapa
running, spooling back it to record properly; ii) Making
themes in one or two takes, with numerous overdubs on a
rythm track.
1965 Brian escorts Cilla Black to the Royal Film Performance.
1967 Vic Lewis, on behalf of NEMS Enterprises, flies to the US
for talks with the Monkees' manager, Bert Schneider, with a
view to NEMS Presentation bringing the group over to Britain
for concerts.
1968 Studio 3. 4.30-6.00pm. Mono mixing: `Lady Madonna'
1969 `Yellow Submarine' LP, 5th week in the Top 30 (Billboard).
1969 End of George's stay at the London College University
Hospital.
1977 UK gold certification for `The Best Of George Harrison'.

16 February
1963 `Please Please Me' number 21 (UK Melody Market chart).

1963 Recording for `Thank Your Lucky Stars', in London.
1964 Brief rest in Miami.
1964 2nd performance on the Ed Sullivan Show, at the Deauville's
Hotel Mau Mau Club, Miami Beach.
1st artists performing twice on this programme.
Dezo Hoffmann attends.
1964 Brian watches the Ed Sullivan Show performance at his hotel
room in Miami.
1965 Studio 2. 2.30-5.00pm. Recording: `I Need You'; `Another

1964 Colonel Parker phones Brian from Hollywood to Miami to
congratulate him and the group.
1964 Cilla Black reaches UK number 1 with `Anyone Who Had A
Heart'. From the USA Brian sends her a congratulatory
telegram.
1965 Studio 2. 2.00-7.00pm. Recording: `The Night Before'.
Studio 2. 7.00-11.00pm. Recording: `You Like Me Too Much'.
1967 UK single release: `Strawberry Fields Forever'/`Penny Lane'.
3rd double A side.
1967 Studio 2. 7.00pm-3.00am. Recording, Mono mixing: `Being For
The Benefit Of Mr Kite!'.
The mix is taken home by Paul.
1969 Clive Epstein sells Nemperor Holdings to Leonard
Richenberg's Triumph Trust.

1964 Brian flies from New York to England.

1965 Studio 2. 3.30-6.20pm. Recording: `You're Going To Lose That
Girl'.
1965 UK LP release: `A Hard Day's Night', orchestral LP by George
Martin.
1967 Chuck Berry performance at the Saville Theatre. Support
acts: Del Shannon, the Canadians, and Hamilton and the
Movement. Brian, John and Ringo attend. There's a big
trouble at the concert, following Brian's dismissal of the
house manager, Michael Bullock.
1968 Ringo, Paul, Maureen and Jane go to India. [18 February?]
