I'll check in to his newsgroup 3, sometimes 4 times a day. I use
Google newsgroups. When I log in there's a notification that there
has been a number of views of this group.

Sometimes 140, sometimes 350, sometimes 70. But it strikes me that
there seems to be quite a bit of viewing of this group. But very
little posting.

Unless, of course, it's the same people browsing over and over
again.

It's really got my curiosity up. If you are a person who normally
views this group but never or very seldom makes a post, then would you
just to give an idea of who it is that is viewing this group.

Just state your interest in the Beatles.

People probably lurking under more than one handle,
and/or lurking more than once a day.

> Just state your interest in the Beatles.

Most of them have left for places like Facebook.

I confess I haven't been posting much lately. Things were pretty dreary
there for a while. But things are looking up a bit, I think.

Pretty good discussion in beginner guitar by the way. I have a couple
of books on theory from Berklee I've been wanting to read, but I put
practice first. But I think I was able to follow the skein of what
you said.

Well I'm no expert on it, but I try to understand the basics and work
through the details of particular songs.

My friend, there's two basic way's to acquaint yersef wid da
intricacies and nuances o music theory. You can take classes an read
books at Berklee....

Or ya can spark a spliff an jerk off to the Yoke.

I have chosere'd the 2nd path...and much widsim have become mine. Did
you know that Yoko has created "music o the mind"??

I would not be surprised if Paul or Yoko had employees who check on
the group once in a while.

3 or 4 of em may be my refreshing of the articles for new ones. I
don't use GG though, so not sure if that counts.

Nah. They would be too surprised that the posters here
are more famous than the Beatles, with all the petty
squabbles.

I compare Google Groups to two or three "real" Usenet services enough
to feel confident that that's not very accurate. There may be a few
posts that don't show, but nearly all of them do.

That can't be said for the opposite, unfortunately. Google Groups is
prone to getting "constipated", at which times it receives stuff from
outside, but nothing posted from within GG gets out. Then after some
days or weeks, it somehow gets laxitiviated and lets out everything
it's been holding in in a bloody gush. It seems to be getting worse -
it's happened at least twice in the past month or so, and it's
happening again right now. No posts made through GG since early this
morning can be seen on the network in general. You'll see my post, but
I won't see yours. You GG guys are marooned.
