Subject: Macca stood up by Robbie Williams
From Dot Music:
MACCA STOOD UP BY ROBBIE

During the filming of a special edition of seminal television music
show The Tube, Robbie Williams did a runner just as he was due to
perform a grand finale with Sir Paul McCartney.

The star's aides attempted to explain his disappearance, claiming that
he was exhausted. McCartney was reportedly unaware of the snub as he
invited Travis' Fran Healy to join him for the finale saying, "I'm also
going to be joined by a young lad called Robbie."

However, Robbie never appeared, leaving Macca bemused: "Where's Robbie?
I'm told he's left the building but I can't believe it." It appears
that Robbie, unhappy with his earlier performance of 'Millennium', was
daunted by the prospect of sharing the stage with the legendary former
Beatle.

Robbie missed out on Sir Paul and Fran Healy's version of 'Let's Have A
Party' which, according to UK tabloid reports, is to be released as a
single in time for Christmas.
