Know many on the list, but very few come close to this.......
What about Styx hitting their stride in the last half of Suite Madam
Blue? Peter Frampton and Steve Marriott doing it to 'I'm Ready' and 'I
Don't Need No Doctor' on the Rockin' the Fillmore LP? Keith Richards’s
openings for Honky Tonk Woman. Street fighting Man, Gimme Shelter and
Midnight Rambler? Queen's We Will Rock You? Hendrix doing Machine Gun
at the Fillmore? The Who’s Pinball Wizard and Won’t Get Fooled Again?
Just to name a few THAT YOUR BULLSHIT POLL SEEMED TO MISS.
Only one Beatles entry? Hmmmm
How about I Feel Fine???? Or And Your Bird Can Sing?
Another song that seems noticeably absent: Heartbreaker by Pat
Benatar and her band. That should certainly be on the list.
Love, love, love the guitar work in a song called "Dwayne's Tune" by
Dickie Betts and his band; I think it is on an album called Pattern
Disruptive. It is in honor of one of the Allman brothers. The middle
guitar work sounds like it came from a supernatural plane, so
mesmerizing.
