There is no "versus." There is no conflict.

Good point.

Besides, I believe in avoiding talking CRAP.

That was the title of the original thread. You were interested
in continuing it. If not, we won't.

I'm waiting for proof from science that it knows everything.

I'm not so sure. If something isn't known by science then it falls into
belief then.

But what isn't known by science changes constantly. The scope of things
that fall strictly into belief is constantly decreasing.

But as Nil said, there isn't necessarily a conflict.

Besides, there are whole newsgroups devoted to this topic. Start with
talk.origins, and leave this group for discussing Beatles.

Okay, Beatles talk: I was listening to "I'm happy just to dance
with you" the other day and noticed something I had never
heard before. It was the pounding of over-dubbed drums
like 1, 2 not long after the song starts. Heard it with head
phones on. It repeats like that throughout certain parts
of the song. Have you ever noticed it before?

I'm wanting personal opinions. I'm not asking for science
to prove or disprove anything.

Yeah... Well, then... When you can tell me where the original kernel
of matter that started the Big Bang came from, then I will feel
obligated to offer proof of the existence of a higher power. Of
course, you will then be asked to prove where the thing that created
the original kernel came from… and where its creator came from before
that. And so-on and so-forth. Until the end of time. Because, as you
can see, you'll NEVER be able to get to bottom of it. Not in a million
years. So it's just like Beatle George said... "The more you learn,
the less you know".. Or... "All that I know it that I know that I know
nothing". And I certainly don't see THAT decreasing.

And anyway.... Christ will be back long before then... Then you can
present Him with your final figures!

Sure, but then you're obligated to explain where god came from. And
how whatever created him was created. And on and on and on...

and you'll never get to the bottom of. Not in a million years. So it's
just like old Jesus said, "How can you say you love god, who you have
not seen, when you hate your brother, who you have seen?".

Yeah, seems to me the Big Bang discussion belongs in the Margaret
Thatcher thread.
