I know this is OT (sorry) but there's not much happening in
Beatledom. However rmb is made up of fascinating people from all
around the world.
So I was curious to find out more about what it was like in each
person's neck of the wood.
So, what's the weather/climate like in your area?
Me, I'm in the northeast U.S. near a major city. After having an
especially pleasant and mild October and November, Mother Nature is
making up for lost time now that it is December. Along the US coast
for the past day or so we've had high winds and quite a bit of cold
rain. Further inland there's been an inch or two of snow/slush. This
is the second storm so far.
Neither of these storms have been major events . . . .but they remind
me that I am so not ready for winter.
I hope someone here can tell me something encouraging about the warm,
sunny climate he or she is in. (sigh)
Me I'm in the Northeast U.S near a major city and my nipples cracked
off this morning. Penis still missing. Ready to go Amber Alert....
Might put a picture of my penis on telephone poles around town, just
above all those cats and dogs that have gone astray.
If you see my penis, please call Nancy Grace.
Not me! I'm freezing!
Maybe you should start smoking again?
Now that's what I call cold weather! :-)
Where I am in the land of chocolate, it hit a low of 19 yesterday, is
mainly sunny and clear with a little wind. But come Sunday they
predict some snow and mixed stuff. At night on a clear night you can
see quite a few stars even when you are standing in an area with
some lights. The sun rises are beautiful as are the sunsets, with all
different shades of red, pink and amber in the sky, and depending on
the clouds and where they are on the horizon they can be different
shades of gray and white as the sun is going down. I am not a nature
expert but at night you sometmes can hear what I think may be an owl
of some kind making its sound at 8 PM or even 3 in the morning. The
rolling hills in some areas seem to go on forever, and there are cows
and horses in many locations. There are trees that are on wild land
and man developed property in all different shapes and sizes, some
weeping willows gracefully bowing their heads, tall evergreens,,
small groomed trees, etc. No the weather is not particularly warm
right now however it still can be strikingly beautiful, and I can
always find some hot chocolate every now and then to warm me up. Have
not seen any Amish horses and buggies as yet.
I'm in the greater Washington DC / Baltimore area, and up to last week, we
have been quite mild and rainy. Only this past week have overnight temps
gone below 32 deg F. Just turned off the water to the outdoor hose bibs
last week. Not nearly as cold yet as will be in January and February.
Patience.
Last night was the start of Chanukah, the eight day festival of lights. I
received new swimming goggles, swimming earplugs, and the new Paul in NYC
CD/DVD set. Thanks family ! Can't wait for my wife to fire up the frying
pan for some latkes. The dreidel chocolate gelt is ready to go. I'm such a
paskudniak.
Maybe you should go fuck yourself.
Near zero wind chill the last 3 days. Lots of wind on Wednesday, 50+
mph. Sunny with a high expected in the low 30's for today. At least
the sun is making customers smile. Western Michigan has had a
boatload of snow over the past week.
My first *guffaw!* of the day.
I can only hope he doesn't find your long-lost penis.
(Sorry...I couldn't help myself. Automatic-writing, you know.)
And that, dear sir, is why having taken down all of your videos down
is so gratifying.
When they came down, I immediately being that "fucking guy".
I had them all nearly converted to a new widescreen format, too.
Oh, well. Stop being so damned silly.
Yes you are! Sounds wonderful. You are making me hungry.
And just the thought of the Chanukah lights warms me inside.
Years ago an acquaintance of mine made a joke . . . was it about
Chicago? Minneapolis? I forget. But the joke was, "The coldest
winter I ever experienced was the summer I spent in ________."
Cute.
Cute joke. Just anFYI that kind of goes with the joke, they have a
science station that is active 6 months a year I think in Antartica.
If you go to www.el.com there is a way to get free internet radio
from around the world, and sometimes, one of the stations available is
the radio station generated from Antartica. They generate their own
radio show there for the scientists. So since we are in the northern
hemisphere, I would answer the question "the coldest winter I ever
experienced was the summer I spent in Antartica".

That was Mark Twain. He was referring to San Francisco...
>If you see my penis, please call Nancy Grace.
She's already got one.
I'm seventy five miles of San Diego and sixty miles south of that
famous border crossing at Tijuana.
I think this is one of the healthiest climates in the world; it's
where the desert meets the ocean.
I'm told it's the same as the Mediterranean climate, but never having
been there, I wouldn't know.
We haven't had rain for a year, and now it has been raining since
yesterday. Seems to be clearing now, though. We had a good soaking
last Tuesday.

That cracked me up.
Boy I can't stand that Nancy Grace. What's up with her hair?
And those facial ticks?

When you figure out that punishing people with your abusive newsgroup
"debating" is not really a debating.
Um, they are YOUR videos to my music...My music remains, your videos
are gone and I am grateful.

Yes, when you took them down in a hissy fit.....you became that
fucking four year old guy.

Well then you wasted your time.

Like I said, go fuck yourself.
>your videos

Well, then you could at least say, "Thank you."
Why are you so angry?
Whoosh.
If you need the story repeated again at this point... you do indeed
need professional help.
Now fuck off.
Don't have any warm weather to report however I found this page or
two at wikipedia and I wanted to share it. This is a great story that
gets me choked up at times when I read it. It makes me realize that a
little snow, or temperatures below freezing just are not that bad when
you read this true bit of history that was the founding event that
lead to the Ididerod ( I know I am misspelling that one). Anyway this
is a great story and if anyone has a dog that they love, give them a
big hug

I think that Disney did make a full length movie that was not
identical to this but the movie may have been called Balto or
something and it incorporated this event in a round about way
Thanks, but this has nothing to do with my question.

John seddit himself...Rain or shine, its just a state of mine.

Theirs no "gloomy" weatha a good spliff cant cure...
Or a good wankl to the Yoke!! :-)
Somehow I have the feeling it is always a bit foggy where you are.
What is your question?
What is the weather like in your area?
Snow on the ground. 37 degrees. Are you going to read more of
my posts today?
Sure.
Did you like the post about me scratching my back? :-)
Yes, that was cute.
HaHa. I wasn't feeling too well, and when that happens, I tend to get
very silly...to keep it together.
Jeff
Speaking of weather, they are now forecasting a major snow storm
coming up the east coast of the US tomorrow. 6 to 12 inches. Yikes!
Make me a nice stew, I'll come over.....
One beef stew, coming up!
Don't forget to throw you know who..out.

What about a nice tatey pie?
Almost the same with a crust, too.
Sounds like my Aunt's English Beef Pot Pie ...Big thick crust
overflowing the rim.
Potato Pie - beef chunks, potatoes and onions in its own delicious
gravy covered with a crust and baked to brown.
It's a northern English tradition.
Potater Pie.
