I know what's next: It's Yoko's fault. She's
making more money off his name.

Lately, I've resurrected the turtleneck look, like from the mid '68
New York visit.

I say bring back the flouncey (pirate) shirts. I got a less hairy
version of the 1967 Lennon jacket that's long hair on the inside and
leather on the outside. (Sorry PETA!). I think George sported it a few
times, too. My sweetie zerked it the first day (my gift to her) by
getting butter or something on it, so there's this dark spot on the
light leather.

Beatle duds is cool. The leather Rubber Soul jacket seemed to be
hugely popular at the Beatlefests this year.

Now you're bringing back memories. Actually I think it would be a
nice idea to resurrect a Beatles inspired clothing line similar to
what you just described. It seems this Lennon inspired line is not
that at all . . . rather it is clothing featuring his art work.

Lennon had no clue how to dress. Most times he looked like he pulled
cloths from one of those "drops" you see.

Someone's already doing some of the stuff.

Yeah, well, what do you expect from Da koto? :-)

During the cooler time of year, I have a navy blue hoodie that has had
the hood removed and a pair of fitted sweatpants (no huge ill-fitting
baggy legs and butt, nor too much "rise" up to the waist - tailor
snug). Together they have the August 1969 Lennon Tittenhurst jumpsuit
vibe, although John's getup had flares on the legs and the sleeves. A
very comfy and convenient quick throw on / out the door getup. The
sporran seems a bit bulky, but maybe a Zorro hat would be a nice
capper-

I've seen references to John wearing a "sporran." Can anyone out there
tell me what that is?

:-)

There were many times John dressed very nicely. But I do know what
you mean.

However, IMO when John would dress like "an ordinary person" that's
one of the things that made him so loveable. Mr. Working Class Hero.
