Arrive at the job site.....a crematorium where I am decorating/
painting a new chapel. Located through two doors are three of the
ovens used to "process" the departed. I put my radio on...Beatles
playing again and noticed through these two doors a traffic jam of a
different sort... Coffins all sitting there in a line (there were
three) very similar to the traffic snarl I went through getting here.
Over the roar of the ovens (2,000 degrees, I was told) The Beatles
played their merry tunes.
I don't think I'll bitch and moan anymore. It was GOOD to be in the
first traffic snafu, considering the second possibilty I witnessed.
Thanks Beatles...you got me through two "jams".
Imagine if Michelangelo got to listen to I am the Walrus while
painting his chapel. The results might have turned out a bit
different. Just teasing. I am glad that you were able to enjoy some
wonderful music during those two jams. It is amazing isn't it how
music can shape our moods? We can all sit in a traffic tie up,
cursing and getting impatient, or we can turn it around and say "gee
this is great, I have 20 minutes to have some privacy, listen to the
music I like, relax and even do a little singing without sounding
silly. (well at least the way I sing, I tend to sound silly but when I
am alone in my car who cares?) Music can lift our moods, and allow us
to get a different perspective on a situation.
The story was more about the dead waiting at ovens door.
The debates were over for some...
Oh, yes, quite a tragic image. I know it is tough but try to get
that image out of your mind. It is a sad image to focus on all day
today and hopefully you are done with that job and will get to paint a
kindergarten class or daycare next. I hope you have a great day
No sprise there.
