I remember hearing that Ram was originally recorded 'less polished'
but when
Paul heard the solos of George & Ringo, he want back into the
recording studio and
'polished' off the tracks.
Any ideas as to whether we will get to hear Ram (naked)? As I think it
will still stand up & be
a Monkberry Moon Delight of an LP.

Ram On,
Zad.

George and Ringo never played on any "Ram"-session tracks.

During the 1/69 Get Back sessions, Paul previewed two songs that were
later recorded during the "Ram" sessions -- "Another Day" (as a
single) and "Back Seat of My Car," but those he played alone at the
piano, with no other Beatle involvement whatsoever.

I sort of doubt it. I'd like to have it, though.

Try the mono version.

Oops - I just realized that you meant the solo LPs of George and
Ringo, not any solo performances on "Ram." Sorry 'bout that.

The best you can do is get ahold of a rare mono version. A lot of different
mixing makes it interesting to hear.

Also there are many boots that have just the backing tracks and some work
tapes for Back Seat Of My Car and one or two others.

Donz, I think the writer was referring to the fact that Paul wanted to
polish the Ram tracks after hearing the quality of G & R's solo
efforts.

I'd get it in a heartbeat. Among other things, I love Paul's vocal
vamping on the end of MMD. It's kind of like a rawly Hey Jude.

Great - I'll get that then. Thanks!

This doesn't fit the timeline. George's All Things Must Pass was
released months before the Ram sessions, while "Ram" was released two
years before Ringo's first pop/rock solo album.

On a related note, here's an interesting article on the recording of
"Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" with quotes from several of the
participants:

Thanks So Much

This has to be one of the best analytical pieces of Macca at work I
have seen.

Take notes, folks!

Yes - just remembered - you're right. He went back into the studios
after he heard ATMP.

That still doesn't fit. He would have heard ATMP before Ram sessions
ever started. ATMP was released before Xmas 1970. Ram sessions were
in the Spring of 1971.

Huh? The previous poster said "after" he heard ATMP. Did you mean
to say "wouldn't" have heard?

He also said Paul went BACK to the studio to redo Ram songs after
hearing ATMP. That doesn't fit since Paul would have heard ATMP
months BEFORE the Ram sessions ever started.
