Out of the blue ( I'd not heard of it before) I was sent this DVD and
originally thought that it was a cheapo cash-in-on-the-name-Beatles
production.

Far from it.

Rather than my review - read these.

So, obviously good and worth getting hold of if you can.

As it progressed I began to notice two things...

a) It contains some long interview sections with Barry Miles. I cannot
recall any interviews, let along long ones, with Miles. And. He seems
like a really really nice bloke.

2) (Remembering my recent comment about licenced music in "I Wanna Hold
You Hand") there's a lot of genuine Beatles' recordings, and film, in
the movie. Every snippet seems to have a copyright acknowldgement, but
at the end I saw no overall acknowledgement to Apple - who must own most
of the stuff. How did they get away with it?

I've just found this DVD too, along with "Composing... 1957-1865" and
"Composing Outside The Beatles 1967-1972". Not had chance to watch any
of them yet but I found them through a newspaper promotion (The
Independent). May still be available in the UK through
brd.readerspromotions.com but I think Amazon lists them too.
