Basically a group of current artists covered the tracks, and the album
is presented in "original" order.
It's a really nice selection of covers - every single one worth
listening to.
The Invisible - Come Together
Leisure Society - Something
Let's Wrestle - Maxwell
Broken Records - Oh! Darling
Jeffrey Lewis - Octopus' Garden
Robyn Hitchcock - I Want You (She's so heavy)
Charlie Dore - Here Comes The Sun
Martin John Henry - Because
Glenn Tillbrook & Nine Below Zero - You Never Give Me Your Money
Gomez - Sun King
Cornershop - Mean Mr Mustard/Polythene Pam
Karime Francis - She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
Blue Roses - Golden Slumbers
Noah and the Whale City - Carry That Weight
Loose Salute - The End
The Low Anthem - Her Majesty
It's just reached Australia, so is probably out of date everywhere else
on the globe!
(Glenn Tillbrook is ex-Squeeze - which may mean nothing to readers in
the USA - and the band with him are a long standing Blues/R&B band. Saw
them in the early 80's playing support to The Who - and they were by far
the better act that evening!)

I love Genn Tillbrook! I've never been able to catch him live, but
would love to. I've heard some recordings of his solo act, and he'e
very funny and knows a million songs. He's always done a ton of covers,
and I think "You Never Give Me Your Money" would fit him like a glove.

I too am a fan of Tillbrook solo and also of Squeeze, have seen them
live in several different configurations and I have Glenn's last two
solo cd's. Anyway not sure why the O.P. would think that the Squeeze
reference would be lost on Americans (admittedly the man on the street
might not know Difford and Tillbrook by name but a rock'n'roll fan
likely would) - the group was huge here and their many hits still get
tons of airplay.

I also recommend their debut album, THE SLEEPER. :)

Jools Holland, who conducted many of the "Anthology" interviews, is
also ex-Squeeze, of course.
