So let's see here. Angry southern whitey who hates the gubmint? Check.

Previous history of threatening to shoot intruders on his property?
Check.

Sees himself as an anti-law rebel? Check.

Demonstrates his bravado by beating a dog to death with a pipe,
threatening to shoot neighborhood children, and firing shots at
adults? Check.

Sounds like the perfect man to lead The Revolution! So how does he
proceed?

...by killing a 66-year-old bus driver, then kidnapping a 5 year-old
boy and holding him hostage in an underground bunker:

http://news.yahoo.com/negotiators-talking-ala-captor-pipe-181459029.html

OK, to be somewhat fair...if I lived in rural fucking Alabama, I'd
probably wanna kill stuff too. That aside...

THIS is the kind of idiot that would be a part of your "civil war",
Professor. Small-dicked and only tough enough to take his anger out on
dogs, old men, and kids. Good luck with that!

This guy needs to be beaten with a pipe until dead.

He has nothing to do with any political argument
whatsoever; maybe with the exception that most
on the right would put him up against the death
penalty while many on the left would want to ban
pipes and explore his inner consciousness. Fuck
him - kill him.

Having no idea of how many TP members there are, we'll
assume it is a million or more. You're telling me that a
million or more people have the desire to kill an innocent
man, kidnap an innocent kid, and beat puppies to death.

I used to think getting beyond two parties was the solution.

Not so anymore. You start getting more and more parties into the mix,
and suddenly you find a party in power that only represents a
miniscule amount of the people. If we have 3, 4, 5 parties that are
viable in an election, how much of the population is truly going to be
represented by whichever one wins?

All we can do is vote for the person who we think will give us the
most of what we want to see happen. Whatever criticisms I have about
Obama, the simple fact is that I'll find more to like from him than I
would have a Romney presidency.

Every "conservative" out there who voted for Bush 2 understands this.

Are there groups out there calling for us to pick up our guns?
I didn't get the memo... and I've seen almost nil about the TP

There is no remedy. You cannot remove all the guns from
this country. You cannot force <and get> the public to
register all the guns. You cannot stop a neighbor from
selling his buddy a pistol or shotgun. You cannot stop
a madman from killing. Please tell me where you see it
different.

The KKK? The american indian? Fringe groups? Radicals?
Some on the right? A few on the left? You think there are
no dems that don't like blacks or other minorities? Really?
You don't think there are dems out there, that are NOT racist,
but still don't want to see policy set by the minorities?

Their stance on drugs is far too radical for the masses.
As are a few of their other views on world matters.

Johnson wasn't typical of the GOP by any means.
Ron Paul could have run as an independent as well,
seeing as some of his views were certainly off the gop
radar.

Paul and (at first) Johnson ran on the GOP ticket
because they knew that their ONLY shot at winning
the White House comes from either running as a
dem or a republican.

A run on a third party ticket gets you nothing but
a little notoriety.

There aren't a whole lotta people feelin' represented the
last 20 years. That is to be expected when 50% of our
lawmakers are millionaires compared to 1% of our population.

Having more choice is rarely a bad thing.
What does it matter if there are 5 or 50 candidates
as long as one has majority vote?

So? Is that any different than a gay group calling to "push
this country forward"? Is that any different than PParenthood
claiming gop'ers want to push us back to the stoneage? Every
group has a slogan, an agenda.

I was trying to imply that you cannot put all gop in a single
basket nor can you do the same with the dems. There are
surely PLENTY of dems somewhere that think the financial
cliff will be our downfall, just as plenty of dems are against
any stringent gun control.

It certainly appears that they're obsessed about "taking the country
back" and using arms to do it. Was that all just for show then? Palin
and Angle didn't know exactly what they were doing when they evoked
such imagery?

The Teabaggers DIDN'T have press and celebrity backers? Hell, a
"celebrity" is all Palin was at that point, and they made her their
queen. They had an entire "news" network tonguing their ballsacks. And
despite all that financial backing...what have they done besides make
themselves look like fools? They tore the GOP apart from the inside.
Think Boehner doesn't regret getting into bed with them?

Again, I've seen no call to arms. Matter of fact, I've seen
no "anything"... nothing from the TP, no flyers on my
windshields, no news on the tv of any armed groups
being busted while plotting to overthrow the gov't.

When I hear 'grassroots' the imagery is more of a bunch

bunch of radicals or lowlevels. Do you really believe

Palin again? Really? You want to put her on the level of
a Bono even a Michael Moore type? Who the fuck was
'hearing' Palin other than her diehard fans? OWS had
about two months of hardcore media attention, from ALL
the media outlets.

The TP and OWS ---- one actually had a little power, got quite
a few people actually put into positions of power. Then there
was OWS. <snicker>

Then you concur that despite the meme, the Teabaggers were in no way

She WAS on that level for the troglodytes she appealed to.

And yeah, Palin again. Because, you know, we're talking about the

spewing shit? Did MSNBC set him up with a studio in his house and a

Last I checked, OWS wasn't looking to PUT people into "power".

And how did that "power" work out for the Teabaggers? Before most of

The audience for Palin consisted of a handful of those on
the right. The audience given OWS was mega-millions,
every single day for a month or more. It reached across
all lines -- political, social, income, etc. It garned major
press in every media outlet.

That is of no matter. We were speaking of what was gained
from the two 'movements'. If the TP has fallen out of favor, so
be it. OWS never found any support anywhere near that caliber.
How about this -- you show me anything gained from the OWS
people, compare it to the 100 elected officials of the TP, then in
a couple years, tell me how many of each still hold an office.

Ir-fucking-relevant what relationship she had to Romney. We were
talking about the star power behind two movements. Palin was the
Teabagger queen for quite awhile. The Teabaggers were no fan of
Romney. Your attempt to blend these topics is, as your acolyte would

They AREN'T. In fact, they're likely poor/barely middle class and
fucking dumb. Which is what makes their "grassroots movement" being
bankrolled by rich fucks like the Koch Bros. so damned hilarious.

Please. Can you name ONE Occupy member who got a fat contract from a
"news" station to appear regularly on the air? And a studio built in
their home for just that purpose? Is there an Occupy member who
"energized" a presidential candidate's campaign and got to write books
about it? Got a reality show out of it? Has a Facebook/Twitter
following as a result?

Hell, you're claiming one moment that OWS was a fart in the wind, and
then in another that they had the same media traction as Palin?

OWS was not looking to put people into political office. And given
that our media is corporate owned, they were never going to get a fair
shot in any debate.

The comparison is moot.

Not exactly. There is a direct link when speaking of
Obama (sitting president) and Ayers or Wright (years
of direct connection).

Romney (holding no office) had no such connection
to Palin (who likewise held no office). No one is going
to say that Palin had no "star power". But however much
she had, it was a VERY limited segment and the rest
probably hated her. That is not the same as a 'real'
celebrity. That is not the same kind of exposure as
what OWS received on EVERY channel, on every paper
and website.

Whaaaaaaat? Do you think there's somekinda sOOper-sekret
bank account feeding the million plus supporters of the TP?
Really dude? Say there's a million people that go out and
say ---> I LOVE THE FUCKING TEA PARTY!!!

How are these people NOT AVERAGE? Isn't the average
fucking american nowadays INDEED poor to barely
middle class? Isn't the fucking average american of medium
intelligence? Studies I've seen of the average TP member
says they're overall at or slightly above average everything.

"CNN statistics declaring they are predominantly male,
more college educated and higher earners than the
general population at large, but not necessarily older
or just from the South"

and then there's --

"Alas for stereotypes, they're convenient, often catchy.
But not necessarily true.

Now, comes a pair of polls, including Gallup, that paint
a revealing detailed portrait of Tea Party supporters in
most ways as pretty average Americans. A Sunday poll --
actually three national phone surveys of 1,000 registered
voters -- found that 17% of all polled, or more than 500,
called themselves "part of the Tea Party movement."

"It's a good sample size," David Winston, polling director
of the Winston Group that did the poll for an education
advocacy group, told the Ballot Box blog of The Hill newspaper.

The Tea Party adherents broke down 28% independent, 17%
Democrat and only 57% Republican."

and --

"A new Gallup Poll out this morning of 1,033 finds nothing
fringe about self-proclaimed Tea Party adherents; they are
slightly more likely to be employed, male and definitely
more conservative. But otherwise Gallup's Lydia Saad writes,
"their age, educational background, employment status, and
race -- Tea Partiers are quite representative of the public
at large."

I'll forward you a few of those smart pills as you
obviously didn't get the message. This IS NOT
about who got some kind of contract on FOX.
FOX viewers are hard conservatives. FOX/Palin
do NOT reach out to the masses of people that don't
even watch the fucking news. Which is the majority
of people obviously. If you wanted to follow Palin
you were rabid conservative already, and you
followed her blog or her rare FOX appearance. That
is TOTALLY different than turning to any station/website

for months.

Nope, the entire comparison was about what kind of

Well, that's funny. Because what I recall re: press coverage of OWS,
was that it was a bunch of ignorant, lazy, greedy millennials who
wanted something for nothing.

Meanwhile, Palin had an entire "news" network behind her. A reality
show. Book contracts. Speaking engagements (*snort*).

AND we all know that hatred translates into attention as well. Whether
Palin was being fellated by Bill Krystol or Glenn Beck, or vilified by
Olbermann, her name was out there.

Now tell me ONE OWS name who enjoyed the same branding and popularity.

It's no secret who funds "the movement". Murdoch. The Koch Bros. Or,
at least, they did. Perhaps they've moved on, now that the Teabaggers
are about as appealing as gonorrhea...

As I've said before, the "followers" very likely are average. And
dumb. Ignorant, if you prefer a kinder term. I've heard them speak.
I've heard them debate.

Dumb. Ignorant.

They do not even realize who's bankrolling them.

Defense has in no way been cut "pretty hard". Not when considering
what a black hole it is in terms of spending. And that's not even
including the shit that doesn't get specified under "defense"
spending....

No real conservative looks at Fox with anything other than derision.

And I find your view that OWS coverage in any way superseded that of
Palin laughable.

OWS isn't dead. But they do not enjoy the coverage our corporate media
lavishes on others. Gee...I wonder why that is?

Again, I'll ask: what lasting effect have the Teabaggers had? What
have they accomplished other than internal strife within the GOP? Can
you name one piece of Teabagger legislation that's passed with great
positive effect? ANY positive effect? Hell, ANY effect at all?

Anything? What good is "power" if the resulting effect is that of a

You are inaccurate as always!
The first born american colonist was born in Roanoke Colony which is
present day North Carolina.

Shocking that The Professor would have history wrong, huh? But since
her name was Virginia, you can see how a dummy like him would be
confused....

We obviously saw different press then. The mass media

And just WHERE do you see all this money at today?
I see no commercials, no anything from the TP.
What is there to fund? Did they run expensive commercials
during the election? I never saw a TP ad. Did Koch or
Murdoch likely give money to some of those running?
Certainly! No different than a Soros or any other large

product stockpiling by businesses."

Another 500 billion was due to kick in now, but congress
just delayed it for two more months.

And I've never once argued that defense couldn't be cut.
Quite to the contrary, I've said EVERY SINGLE DEPT.
should face at least a 10% budget cut, as well as 10%
of ALL gov't employees.

Yes they are. All you see remaining is a ghost.

Because it was the stupidest 'protest' ever. It had
no solid agenda, no organization and no one to take
the lead. It no virtually no attainable goals.

I don't know what long term good or bad they've done.
The fact that 100 of them were elected says a shitload tho.
That is 100 people that are able to write or influence policy.
Wasn't that the entire goal?

Point'em out and spell out what you don't like. Your statement

Roanoke is also <I think> the largest area in VA.
Didn't even know there was a Roanoke NC.

No matter... steven the stupid is <always> wrong.
How the fuck is an american gonna be born in 1587

Oil checks to Alaskans is not the same category as
'aid'. It was deemed that the Alaskan resources
should be divided among the citizens. This is done
in many arabic areas as well.

Sorry ms, but he gets no pass from me.

"first american being born in Virginia"

There was neither a Virginia nor any "Americans"
in 1587.

No, no the stimulus had NOTHING to with Obama. It was Bush, who gave the stimulus money while Obama was planning his takeover of 'Merica by taking away our guns.

Even if it were true, given money to workers so they can work better
is bad, but giving money to lazy people that don't even bother to look
for a job or giving it to people that shouldn't even be in our country
is good? Typical liberal logic.

North Carolina didn't even exist and America wasn't even established
then. Maybe she wasn't technically born in the Sate of VA, but she
was born on my side of the country, here in the south, my state is
named after her, which also established the first town in America.
