That, and the current lineup isn't as marketable as the original four.
The reason they wear the makeup still to this day is due to the
original four. At the AC/DC show I was at, the fan next to me had no
idea Peter and Ace were no longer in the band. They just see the
makeup and assume it's Gene, Paul, Ace, & Peter. And there will be
fans at the Dec 6 show that will think Ace & Peter are up there until
Paul announces who's who.
