band (and sports team) does this. In sports, teams that are bad
practice this all the time. Last month the LA Clippers claimed they
sold 19,000 tickets for a spare game, when in reality they didn't have
5,000 in attendance. Baseball loves to inflate their attendance
numbers more than any sport.

I think a lot of popular artists are having trouble selling out during
the past year or so. I think that's one of the reasons
why the Stones haven't been touring, word was they were waiting for
times to get better then they would announce something
(tour without an album).
