Independents have dropped Obama like a rock.
His last trip was a disaster and he came home empty handed... again!
He was grilled for laughing at whooping it up at a press conference
just hours after the Fort Hood terrorist attack.
He even caved to Fox News and appeared on their network yesterday, all
in a vain and desperate attempt at damage control.
Even his Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner was raked over the
coals again and labeled a complete failure by Dems and Repubs. One
Representative pleaded with and asked him, ""For the sake of our jobs,
will you step down from your post?"
I warned Obama and his twisted supporters months ago not take on Rush,
Beck and Fox News and to concentrate on being president... now,
because of his over-sized ego, he has lost everything -

PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans have moved ahead of Democrats by 48% to
44% among registered voters in the latest update on Gallup's generic
congressional ballot for the 2010 House elections, after trailing by
six points in July and two points last month.
Over the course of the year, independents' preference for the
Republican candidate in their districts has grown, from a 1-point
advantage in July to the current 22-point gap.
The overall results would predict a likely strong Republican showing
if the House elections were held today.

WASHINGTON (AFP) � President Barack Obama's job approval rating has
dipped below 50 percent nationally for the first time, as Americans
worry about the war in Afghanistan, a new poll released Wednesday
found.
The Quinnipiac University poll showed 48 percent of Americans approve
of the way Obama is handling his job as president, compared to 42
percent who disapprove.
The president also scored low marks from Americans on his handling of
the situation in Afghanistan, with just 38 percent saying they
approved of his approach, but a majority did say it was the "right
thing" for US troops to be in the country.

Geithner, under fire, defends AIG bailout
Before Congress' Joint Economic Committee, Geithner faced fierce
criticism of his role in the rescue of American International Group
Inc in 2008, when he was president of the New York Federal Reserve
Bank.
The AIG bailout has become a symbol of outrage over the failings of
Wall Street and the government's $700 billion bailout fund,
complicating the White House's efforts to get a regulatory reform bill
passed.
A jump in the unemployment rate to above 10 percent has sparked
complaints that Washington was quick to rescue Wall Street but ignored
the plight of those who lost their jobs in a recession blamed partly
on reckless lending.
Representative Peter DeFazio, an independent-minded Democrat from
Oregon, told MSNBC television on Wednesday that Geithner should not be
in his job.
At the hearing on Thursday, Representative Kevin Brady, a Republican,
similarly called for Geithner's resignation over his handling of the
economy and AIG.
"Conservatives agree that as point person, you failed. Liberals are
growing in that consensus as well," Brady said during a tense exchange
with Geithner. "For the sake of our jobs, will you step down from your
post?"

Yes, Bush isn't President anymore. People out of work don't want hear
"It's Bush's fault" while Obama pushes Health Care and travels around
the world more than any other president has this early on in his term.
His stimulus was a total failure and the economy isn't his priority.
So what happens? He's the fourth fastest to fall below 50%.

of the U.S. economy, with millions of Americans out of work.

Well, its not anything noteworthy, his numbers have effectively
been in that range since August...

Non-sense. Under Reagan your FICA taxes were raised repeatedly.
Now taxes for fat-cats were indeed lowered, but you ought to look
at the complete picture here Carl. If Walmart comes to your home town
& is given a humongous tax incentive by your city fathers, (like
no property taxes, and no city sales tax) all that money that would've
been going towards - repairing your roads, upgrading your sewage systems,
school books, etc... is deferred to John Q. Public, but they don't make
enough working at Walmart to foot the entire cost, *everyone* should pay
into the system. After all everyone uses those resources...
Here's how I'd like to see things work:
- any jobs/technology taken offshore earns a fine (taxes)
- any jobs/technology brought inland or kept here earns
a credit (rebate)
- use of dirty technology earns a fine
- use green technology earns a credit
- it costs less to keep folks healthy rather than allocate & train
newbies from scratch.
Simple huh? (& I bet we could think of more). The problem is that
with a two party system...
- dems are not 'allowed' to admit that cutting business taxes
is a good thing.
- repubs are not 'allowed' to admit that thoughtful regulation prevents
things like the meltdown in the private sector.
Why cant we vote on the issues rather than for a 'person'?

Nope, a 3.5% gain (but that still sucks). The problem is that big banks
are not letting money flow into smaller markets, where small business
typically needs 'short term' lines of credit. Like a baker, for instance,
who needs to order $2000 worth of cake mix, see?
Never-the-less, if Obama knows this (& he does) yet fails to turn things
around for typical Joe's like you & I, he will be in for a rude awaking
me thinks.
A bit of advice - forgot about 'left vs. right', if an idea works for
*you* just roll with it. It really is that simple =)
