The proper idle spec is 1250-1350 rpm.
The first hash mark is 1k rpm even though it's really really close to
the zero line. I keep it just a hair below 1500, doesn't really matter
what speed you idle at and a faster speed provides marginally better
lubrication at idle.

I cannot give you an answer for an R6, but I can for an YZF600, which
is essentialy the same engine. Idle on the YZF600 is 1300 rpm.
It is adjusted by turning a nylon bolt just iside the fairing on the
your side as you sit on the bike. You have to turn it quite a bit to
make much difference. I have to adjust the idle twice a year. We have
two distinctly different fuel formulations, and I can tell when they
switch....
