Wow - totally separate from the CRU scandal !

http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/11/25/uh-oh-raw-data-in-new-zealand-tells-a-different-story-than-the-official-one/

And don't miss this one

This one is soooo amazing to me as a programmer -

http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/11/crus_source_code_climategate_r.html

some snippets of code, presented and explained, as to how they
'fudged' ( IOW changed any which damn way they saw fit ) the data to
fit their theories.

AMAZING !! In non-programmer speak, the below says very plainly 'we
will set up an arbitrary set of adjustments, up down, or sideways,
against any particular segments of the data that don't fit our theory
or goals, and write a little code to apply them against the dataset'.

Bernie Madoff got a very small and not-so-private free room for
exactly this !!!! Except he was small time - $50 billion is NOTHING
to the trillions the GW'rs want to extract for their 'social justice'
agenda !!!!!!

In two other programs, briffa_Sep98_d.pro and briffa_Sep98_e.pro, the
"correction" is bolder by far. The programmer (Keith Briffa?) entitled
the "adjustment" routine Apply a VERY ARTIFICAL correction for
decline!! And he or she wasn't kidding. Now IDL is not a native
language of mine, but its syntax is similar enough to others I'm
familiar with, so please bear with me while I get a tad techie on you.

Here's the "fudge factor" (notice the brash SOB actually called it
that in his REM statement):
yrloc=[1400,findgen(19)*5.+1904]

valadj=[0.,0.,0.,0.,0.,-0.1,-0.25,-0.3,0.,-0.1,0.3,0.8,1.2,1.7,2.5,2.6,2.6,2.6,2.6,2.6]*0.75
; fudge factor

These two lines of code establish a twenty-element array (yrloc)
comprising the year 1400 (base year, but not sure why needed here) and
nineteen years between 1904 and 1994 in half-decade increments. Then
the corresponding "fudge factor" (from the valadj matrix) is applied
to each interval. As you can see, not only are temperatures biased to
the upside later in the century (though certainly prior to 1960), but
a few mid-century intervals are being biased slightly lower. That,
coupled with the post-1930 restatement we encountered earlier, would
imply that in addition to an embarrassing false decline experienced
with their MXD after 1960 (or earlier), CRU's "divergence problem"
also includes a minor false incline after 1930.

Now that the climatologists have been caught crying "Wolf!"
and are properly discredited no one's gonna believe them any more,
no matter what the truth is. Well call me a kook, but I can't help
this sinking feeling that we're sassin' Mama Nature and she's
losing patience.

More like Vito Corleone saying 'I'd hate to see anything
happen to your nice little store here - or to your family'. :-)

Rest easy - Mama worries about things a lot bigger than us.
Can all of Mankind put together in his little few thousand years here
move one tectonic plate 1 inch ? Or stop Mama from doing it if she
wants ? If we put all our bombs together, would it equal one Krakatoa
? The next time Mama decides to 'chill out' in the next ice age, can
we stop her ?

They weren't climatologists, they were modern day bullshitter 'priests'
using the current fad of 'climate change' (The term "Global Warming" seems
to be going out of fashion...I wonder why) to push their own agenda and cast
their opponents as evil planet-hating bastards.

Ok, so the world heats up a couple degrees, ice caps melt, and the oceans
rise a foot or two. We'll survive.

Personally, I like it cold, but I'm not going to lose sleep over this crap.

If you want something real to worry about, take a look at the sociopaths
being raised by useless parents these days.

If we (the collective human race) wanted to really push our luck
we could simultaneously detonate all our nukes down a hole as deep
as we could dig it at some sensitive spot such as the San Andreas fault
or Mount St. Helens.

My choice would be the Yellowstone Caldera:
Advantages: complete nuclear disarmament
Drawbacks: a major Extinction Event, including ourselves.

You'd get to say "FIRE IN THE HOLE!" Your next comment might well be,
"Oh, SHIT!"

With all due respect, BS - our elected representatives will indeed
fall head first down the path of these climatologists. Too much
political capital has been spent on this for it to disappear. And now
politicians smell revenue sources that will fill their coffers with
the CO2 cap taxes that we'll see soon.

If our leaders were true leaders, they'd lead the rest of by example
and quit exhaling so as not to pollute the atmosphere.
