My youngest son (now 28) has bought his first house. He is a high school
math teacher. He has also bought The Beatles Guitar Hero game for me and has
invited Cathy's Father, Cathy and I over for the Xmas festivities. He is
also engaged to his high school sweetheart and is getting hitched May 2nd. I
am so proud of this kid I can't stand it. I wouldn't be surprised if he
wasn't the Helms man's son.

Prideful dad

You know you are getting old when you know what the "helm's man" was. .
We are driving to Colorado in the Cherokee on Sat, it's a mite cold for the
bikes on a 1100 miles trip.

Merry xmas you sick bastards!

Nothing wrong with that! My two boys are the most important "things"
I will leave behind when I am gone, and I can well appreciate the feeling
that comes from seeing them do well.

Have a merry Christmas and take it easy on the turkey.

I didn't know, but I kinda added up 'Thumper' and ' a nice
young man allegedly his son', and came to the obvious conclusion :-)

And I agree, a DNA test is in order :-)

My eldest is at University and is showing a real aptitude for analytical
chemistry. So proud.

My next eldest is settling in well at his new school and has a hankering for
helping me prepare my race bike and watching me make an arse of myself. I
caught him reading my two-stroke tuning book. He wants to be a mechanic.

My youngest son is so like me I feel sorry for him.

My daughter is so cute my heart strings go taut with every smile. She is
almost annoyingly bright. Worships me for some reason, and I her.

My children are the most important "things" in my life, which is as it
should be.

Be proud of your children. I am of mine.

Good god. Helms? lol...

They've been closed down (a pity) a lot longer than 28, haven't they?
No matter, that place was the bomb when we visited it back when I was
in the 2nd grade. They gave everybody a little cardboard Helms truck
with a tiny little loaf of bread in it. I liked the Helms truck in the
neighborhood a lot better than the ice cream truck. Saved all my
nickles and dimes for Helms. ;-)

You are correct!
I forgot about the cardboard trucks.
