Japanese engineering and design principles with South Korean

I suppose Shinko builds car tires, too...

Yokohoma tires were never popular in the USA, and I haven't seen any
in the last 20 years. A Japanese acquaintance who got me interested in
going road racing
had one set of Yokohomas on his GSXR because he got them free...

Another acquaintance used a set of soft Yokohomas on his Mazda RX-7
when he went slalom racing.

When a Japanese company moves to Korea for production, it's because of
cheaper labor. I can't say anything about quality.

Krusty, you silly old twat, are you still around? I wouldn't ordinarily

stunning in all its real-life accuracy.

In the tire types and sizes that I personally use, Shinkos are about
40-50% the cost of most quality tires. That's at a real
honest-to-goodness store, not from the OEMs' Web sites. There are lots
of reports of the tread blocks ripping off under reasonable loads. I
reckon they're about 40-50% of the quality of real tires, such as those
from Metzeler, Continental, Michelin, Dunlop, Heidenau, etc. I'm under
no illusions that other styles of Shinko tires are any better, when
comparing the same styles.

One serious question. Is your name really Mike Hunt?

Even if it is your real name, it's a favorite "nym" used by numerous adolescent
types who think it is a funny play on words, and for that reason you might want
to change it to Michael Hunt so you're not confused with those idiots.

If Mike Hunt is not your real name, it's not a very funny or original choice and
thus you deserve all the shit you're getting as a result, even if your question
was legitimate and on-topic.

Well, "Mike," a post under the heading "Shinko Tires any good" with
the single line "Well????" was rude.

The responses perfectly fit the tenor, tone, and content of the
"request."

> I didn't realize that I was not supposed to insult posters who replied with

I realize that, given your posting history of responses such as (in
other threads, in other groups) "Don't talk with that dick in your
mouth. Focus on the job you are giving before asking for another one
to suck on."

> I didn't realize you all were capable of assessing IQ scores by reading a

Given your inability to recognize the intrinsic rudeness of the way
you started this thread, all I can say is that perhaps your opinion of
your own IQ is a trifle inflated.

> As for my worth, I'm not sure what you mean here, but I can only guess that

Your previous "contribution" to this group came in a thread that you
originated on December 21 titled "What the hell is wrong with you jerk-
offs?" wherein you inquired "I thought this was a biker forum. What
the fuck is up with all the pansy posts here?"

Yeah, "Mike," shit like (and this thread) that makes you worthless to
me and to everyone else in here. (Except perhaps as grist for Krusty's
racist mill.)

So you are a juvenile asswipe, looking for an argument. Why don't you
just fuck off? You obviously aren't man enough to own a motorcycle,
let alone actually ride or work on one.

Link comes up as bad, could be a momentary DNS problem.

I looked at the Shinko tires at http://www.tiresunlimited.com.
Prices are quite low compared with other tire brands.

I have no experience with Shinko, but had experience with Kenda
Challenger on my Savage. Low priced, very good mileage tire but
scary when wet. Those tires had very little grip on wet
pavement. It was most likely due to the cheaper harder rubber used.

So, I imagine you get what you pay for. Suggest checking with
other forums with a large moderated posting community, like in
Yahoo Groups for your particular motorcycle. There should be
someone with experience there.

If you are a dirt poor college student eaking out a living, or
between jobs, economy is of essence, it is better to have decent
tread and pass inspection. By all means, get them.

OTOH, if you can afford it, by the best motorcycle tire you can
afford.

I settled with Pirelli Route 66 on my bike. They are not the
cheapest, but neither the most expensive. I felt this a good
compromise between safety and cost.

Above all, don't ride as though your life depended on your tires.
The potential for serious injury is just not worth it.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

I agree. Mike was just getting some (well-deserved IMO) blow-back
from his previous postings. Maybe he'll learn that it's a good idea
to not start off by insulting a forum and then come back later, asking
for a favour.

But what if "Mike Hunt" would rather ride with the Del Fuegos instead
of the Wild Hogs?

It sure was. And it was rude as hell.

You should probably let Mike Hunt (aka Suka Midak) know that. It's
clear that he's sincere in his desire to become an educated and
responsible motorcyclist. I'm sure he'll be very grateful for any
analytical assistance you can provide him.

Mike or Suka? It's hard to tell them apart.

The latter statement was not intended to convey duality.

However you should get to know and love your proximate dualities so
you can merge them and become One with them.

Notwithstanding the above remark...

Did I ever mention that any attempt to speak the truth instantly turns
it into a lie?

The Tao that can be spoken is not the True Tao...

No surprise that your philosophy has you at the center of the
universe. You're stuck at the emotional and philosophical level of a
pre-kindergartener.

Grow up.

Well put. With Krusty, I get the impression of a man who knows his
time is swiftly running out, the joy of life is ebbing and, looking
back on his life, doesn't have much to feel good about. So, instead
of just admitting he's basically screwed the pooch and passing on
(what should be) a useful life lesson to the next generation, his
extreme vanity drive him to do things like researching his ancestors
and looking for excuses to cast the blame for his lot on others. His
life has probably been wasted by his self-centeredness and it's a
shame that, so near the end now, he still hasn't learned from the
ultimate failure of that approach.

You give him too much credit.....he is the centre of a wheel, not the
universe....a very small stone wheel.....

It speaks volumes that you are so stupid that you couldn't find the
information yourself, Suck My Dick.
