Not sure if you'll find this horribly interesting or not, but it
contains actual motorcycle content. Just doing my part to keep the
signal to noise ratio at a tolerable level here on Ye Old Reeky.
Enjoy!

I do not think my friend and riding buddy has reached your level, but you
may be interested in seeing a couple of his vids on youtube. We get after it
quite a bit up here in the Ventura, LA, Kern, and Santa Barbara County
areas. We're out most every week riding somewhere.

Here's his Youtube site:

I'm in a bunch of 'em, the geek on the '06 ST. ;-)

I could watch onboard footage all day long. In fact, I ordered a new
suction-mount steady cam rig last week for just this very purpose.
Thanks for the link!

I'm not sure if you were taking the piss or being serious. If the former,
the vid was excellent, if the latter, well....

I'm unfamiliar with your strange British euphemism, but I assume
"taking the piss" means doing something in jest. Actually, I made the
vid to boost the esprit de corps of the group members. There's been a
lot of in-fighting going on and I just wanted to remind them that
we're all 'on the same team', so to speak.

Just spreading a little good will and hopefulness. But being European,
I can see how you'd be culturally adverse to any non-cynical
message. ;)

In my opinion, your narration was pretty good, but the content
was a little over the top. Riding a motorcycle and enjoying it is
really quite a simple concept, but you seemed to portray it as
something very unique and esoteric. It's really no different than
any number of hobbies or activities people get into.
Maybe you should try to find out why your riding buddies are
irritable and confrontational and work on that. I enjoy riding,
but I certainly don't need to ride to maintain peace of mind.
Healthy food, lots of water, sleep, exercise, sex, and drugs
are all ya need. But motorcycles definitely help... <g>

I'll see if there's a URL with the article, but I don't remember seeing one.

but if its the "Dogs bollocks" it's extremely good.

Well THAT's good to know as it wouldn't be good to get those two confused.

Yeah, I swear I don't know what it is about USENET but my concentration
seems to go on pause when I'm in it.

I was with you tilll "front bottoms". I think I had better not even

attempt the language should I ever actually make it over there for a
visit.

Think about "front bottoms" and where you'd likely find one. Then tik about
what a REAR bottom looks like and you've got your explanation.

You should also watch the film "The 51st State" (or mybe it was "Formula 51"
over there. Samuel L Jacko and Robert Carlylse are the two stars and it's a
real dog's bollocks of a film. It explains a few phrases too. Sort of.

When my missus first arrived on these shores, she wasn't 100% aut fait with
the English, so I took great delight in telling her how to ask for things or
say things to people. Example "Ask the man in the shop for 20 fucking
Embasy" (a cigarette brand) and so she would Word for fucking word.

Another example at the weekly baby clinic... "When the doc asks how the baby
has been this week jst tell him" "He's been a real little bastard". She
did. Word for word:-)

My doc asked me why she spoke like that and I just pissed myself. He had NO
sense of humour that doc.
