Blowing snow then getting lobster's. Can't do that in my neck of the woods.
Hell the lakes are not even froze yet for ice fishing.

Should have the bike back at the end of February. I thought he wasn't going
to start it until then. I was there a couple weeks ago he about had it torn
down, and he commented I should be riding it in February.

Its going to be cold but I'll ride it home anyway. It depends on if the
roads are slick with snow or ice. I'll wait until its in the 60's before I
ride it to long. I want to run the interstate for a few hours to get some
miles on the new rings. But you can bet I will take that first short ride
when I get it back.

Wow, that sounds cool. Perhaps you can explain a bit more about the
Lobsters and how you came about them for us landlocked Texans who don't know
much about those nor'eastern kind of things.

In the summer you would go fly fishing for them off the end of a pier, but
in the winter they will crawl up on the beaches during the first really cold
day and lay their eggs in the sand. Then when it snows it prevents the sand
from blowing away and uncovering the eggs. Once spring hits and the wind is
able to blow the sand around, the shallowly buried eggs are uncovered and
usually eaten by seagulls, which break the egg open and swallow the baby
lobsters whole. Within a short period the baby lobsters will use their
claws to tear through the stomach lining of the seagull, causing the seagull
to plummet to the sea and die (they always land in the sea because they know
it is a softer landing than if they were to crash on the beach or
elsewhere). Once the seagull hits the water the lobster will continue to
use it's claws to dig it's way out of the stomach and freedom. This method
is far more successful that the sea turtles, hatch and dash for the sea
method, and therefore the lobster are required to lay far fewer eggs.
You'll find that lobsters in northern areas have larger claws, this is in
the event that it gets so cold that the sand becomes difficult to dig
through, the more southern lobsters have small claws but usually have to dig
deeper in the event that there is no snow.

Tomorrow I'll cover the mating ritual of the walking stick.
