Damn. Just damn.

Planned to be at MISFIT this year for the first time since, well, ever,
and woke up Monday morning with my back screwed up and damn near unable
to get out of bed. Didn't get better so I got to the doctor yesterday
(Odd little guy. Looks like Bug from Crossing Jordan, carries a little
laptop computer with him to access patient data and almost refuses to
make eye contact at all.) Moderate to OK pain pills (WTF is Skelaxin?
Sounds like a cartoon villain) and muscle relaxants.

Wonderful. I'm now officially in a gel state. Headed toward being a
kind of sludge. Where I used to type with fingers I've now got these
sort of pseudopods.

And I'm not going to be able to get to MISFIT. Damn.

Y'all have a good time, though. I'll be here at home, sending out
pseudopods to search for a bucket large enough to contain my liquifying
self.

Nothing 20 or 30 miles of bumpy road wont fix.

My back always feels better after a ride, free chiropractic care, the
bouncing gets things re-adjusted I guess.

Sorry to miss you.
Is it this weekend?
Nobody was there last weekend.
Or the weekend before that either.

Sounds like you sold the GoldWing too soon.
Time for a Road Glide.

Sheeeeit! I was a big advocate of the Road Glide back when people were
bitching that the headlights didn't turn with the front wheel, so it was
worthless. Funny how minds change.

Actually, it's being upright and the transition from NotUpright to
Upright that hurts. What I need is one of those bikes from Tron, but
with bags. That DrapedAcrossTheTopOfTheBike looks pretty comfy right now.

Double damn. I was hoping to see you, too. And I can't go to EKIII.

Heal up. I guess there's always next year.

Thanks. It's kind of odd. Not so much pain as in HOLYSHITTHISHURTS! as
it is a failure to work right. Like if you've worked a muscle to
failure, where it won't contract again and then you try to do one more
rep. Just won't do.

But I've got the drugs and I've got the laptop and I've got dog and cats
and cable TV. Could be lots worse.

Well damn, was hopeing to see you. Come on up in a cage, I got plenty
of back patches, my ol uncle keeps me supplied.
And if you add some good painkillers you'll never know you ever had a
problem, or at least you won't give a damn.
