I think you did yourself a favor, but then I *hate* radios on
motorcycles <shrug>. That bein' said, I have the spare junk that held
the antenna(s) on my '07 Road Glide. I can't imagine them changin'
all that much, so ping me & I'll send you a picture & you can have 'em
if they'll work.

I bought the ones from J&M, but they're really proud of 'em.

Right you are, Steve. But even buying them won't fix BigPiper's broken
mount. Gotta have something to screw them suckers down on.

I snapped off the stud on my '05 Ultra's antenna too. I was able to repair
it by carefully drilling down into the mount, and threading it with the same
metric thread the stock antenna uses. Them I bought a stainless screw of the
proper thread size, cut the head off, and ued red Locktite, then screwed it
into the hole. Worked for a couple years, and now the bike is traded off, so
the next owner can deal with it if it fails, which I doubt it will. Just be
carefull drilling the hole so you get the angle right.

The mounting stud on my '95 was made of brass. It is easily replacable
and the dealer had it in stock. Seems like a lot of them get bumped
and break.

That's cause if it wazs stainless or another strong metal it might
just tear up what it is anchored to/theu.

Same thing I got when I bought mine last year.
