well if sticking my hard, spinning shaft up the rear waste output
until baffle-deep penetration, letting all those hot metal bits spurt
around in there...
i guess you can call me the owner of a new harley ^_^

They had a good idea. If a bunch of men call loud attention-craving bikers
"fags", there would be fights, but if every kid in America calls them fags,
what can they do? I cant imagine the an outlaw club being stupid enough to
beat up kids at their own toy run.
Seriously, a few bikes being loud was cool 30 years ago, but now they are
all just ignorant sheep following the herd. Most of the Harleys made in the
last 25 years will idle without incessant throttle twisting. Try it.

Whatever floats peoples' boats, I guess. My impression is that those
who are most insecure exhibit the greatest need to mock anything that
remotely smacks of masculinity. I suppose it's a coping strategy.
Childish, but it obviously makes certain people feel more validated.
But, but, but, but...... those people with loud pipes are the
childish ones!!!! Right?
Uh huh, suuuuuuure they are.
My wife and I just picked up her new Harley with louder-than-stock
(Vance & Hines) pipes yesterday. And yup, every other woman I know
has loud pipes her bike too.... But it all makes sense! Women are
suffering from small penis syndrome...
There's just no other, possible explanation! ;)
I thought it was because, back then, people often advanced the timing
- to the point they had to work the throttle to keep the engine
running while waiting at a stop.
What usually gets the best response is when backing up, and they're
revving it. I usually ask, "WOW, you've got reverse on that thing?". I
either get a dirty look, or just get a group laugh out of it.
I find the loud pipes just as annoying as the loud, and obnoxious
stereos booming. All 3 of my bikes have stock pipes.
You need loud pipes to prove your masculinity?

Guess ya missed the following the herd comment, eh? :)
That's a new one on me but could be, especially before auto-advance
mechanisms.
Watch the cross-posting, guys. Especially with winter coming on and all.

Brrrrumm! Vrumm! Vrumm! Vrumm! ...
So she's suffering due to your penis size? :)
Making loud, inappropriate noises is a prepubescent pastime that crosses
gender lines. By that measure, the 4 y.o. granddaughter slamming pot lids on
the kitchen floor is more masculine than the loud jerkoff that just rode
past my open office window. It's a strange and confusing use of the word.

My thought exactly! ;)

I have noticed that about women's bikes. Extend that thought just a little
more, and see what you come up with. ;) There's hope for you yet.
And they still haven't perfected the self-advance cam lobe.
Sounds like jealousy to me. :) Anyone out riding is having more fun
than the guy sitting in the office judging a rider by the sound of
his/her exhaust?
Akrapovic race cans for me....nice and crisp!!
> You need loud pipes to prove your masculinity?
You "need" to silent to show your feminine side?
I had to on my BSA, the advancer was worn out. Once I went to electronic
advance it idles fine.
Back in the day, the advance was on the handlebar grip...
you turned *both* grips to accelerate. Ultimate control!
Here's the real deal: either
1.) The idle is set real low, and they're trying to keep it running, or
2.) They like the sound, or
3.) Both. Why else set your idle so low?
And believe me, I've heard throttle-blipping from
*all* types of motorcycles, not just H-D. Guess
which was the most annoying? Straight pipes, of
any make.

Let me be sure I understand: You celebrate a poorly-engnieered bike
that required constant revving to keep it running by carrying on the
tradition?
Cartman: "16 year old girls and you"
No, he doesn't. Your manhood isn't attached to your respect for those
around you...
Damn, you are a stupid uneducate shit when it comes to internal
combustion engines aren't you. I take it LB stands for Lame Brain.

I don't know about that, but LB obviously does not comprehend the meaning of
the words that must have been read to him.
a summary.
Fast, quiet, precise, dependable, honest, GOOD.
Slow, noisey, crude, capricious, meretricious, BAD.
Well it's been years since you got me with a werd...had to hit the ol'
milch kvow.
Meretricious:
1 : of or relating to a prostitute : having the nature of prostitution
<meretricious relationships>
2 a : tawdrily and falsely attractive <the paradise they found was a
piece of meretricious trash — Carolyn See> b : superficially
significant : pretentious <scholarly names to provide fig-leaves of
respectability for meretricious but stylish books — Times Literary
Supplement>
So, was it num...BER ONE! ORrrrrr, was it NUMBER TWO?!?!? People want
to know before they step in it. 8^)
