They had a pretty positive write up in cycle world this month about
the XR1200. Up side is, unless you're a world traveler you won't
have to look at one often. According to the HD press release they'll
only be available in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions this year.

Sorry Sue but I'm on the other side of the street on this one. I've tossed a
lot of rocks at H-D but I really think they got this one right (well close
to right). There might be a change or two I'd consider after I rode it for a
while but bottom line is I'd like to get me hands on one to keep the RK
company. I hope they sell the hell out of these.

As almost always I agree with Wayne. I think they got this one right.
There are some stylistic nit picks I'd make such as the
MartyFeldmanSignatureEdition Mufflers and maybe still more power but all
in all for a factory bike I like it a lot.

I don't mind the mufflers so much as that totally obtrusive oil cooler
hanging off the side of the frame. Could have put a little more effort
into the placement of that thing. Just a little more effort.

Brother has a 750 F. Same as what he had in 1980.
The 750 and 900F's are farther away from the Sporty than the Ascot.
Close but no smokey.

the show and still be able to loiter<sp> in the lobby 5mins before
buying tickets. Small towns, ya gota luv 'em

It's been so long, I hardly remember how big the old style movie
theater screens were, but I do remember the seats were unbearable
sometimes, with a herniated disc I was wondering if I'd make it thru
the whole movie, but the seats were great and the movie was good also,
only thing was how Christian Bale (Batman) choose to disguise his
identity by changing his voice, you'd think if Bruce Wayne had all
this money for R&D and all hose cool toys, they would have had some
gadget under his mask disguise his voice for him, but all in all it
was entertaining.
