I'm not seeing much activity in here. I count 8 posts on the day. Thinking
I've got a bad stream to the server.....
If you're readin this, I'm buying you a round.
Found some OEM mufflers for the FXR today in excellent condition (been
looking for a couple of years off and on). Made an offer on them, waiting
for a reply from the seller. Not completely unwilling to meet his price, but
money being what it is, I figure it doesn't hurt to haggle a bit.
Pulled the CV carb out of the box it's been stored away in for more than a
decade and discovered that the backplate doesn't have the crankcase breather
system. Must have been swapped out as a performance mode before the S&S went
on. Oh well, something else to search for.
Restoring the bike to bone stock, one or two pieces at a time. No hurry.

Fuckifino, I've been at the cabin with my FIL most of the weekend squirrel
hunting. Got the limit each day, & scouted some deer paths too. Damn tree
rats are fat this year. All the rain must have done them some good.

offer the squirrel brains to the matriarch. It
turns out though that there's a form of spongiform
encephalitis (Mad Cow) that squirrels carry. A

I have a small unit (ehem), but it runs on AC. I have to pack a 100ft
outdoor extension cord if I'm camping.

Same as for catfish. Open a beer, start drinking. Soak meat in buttermilk
for 2 to 6 hours. Continue drinking while this takes place. Open another
beer, drink some more while draining the meat. Dust the meat with seasoned
flour(salt, pepper, garlic powder, lots of cayenne pepper). Drink another
beer while heating some canola oil. Then fry those little bastards while
drinking another beer. It works out to about a 12 to 18 pk depending on how
long the marinade takes.

Damn, I just knew you was a hosehead! I just got another Respironics
and you can buy a 12V cord but I never knew they sold a battery.
I'll have to check it out. On my dead computer I had info on using
codes to set levels and such. I know there are codes that can enable
my card so it records all the info for the doc. Just have to find
them again.

I just checked my Respironics and sure as shit, it's 12V.
I never looked at the output of the power brick, until now.

Gonna hafta check that website.
I use the humidifier starting about the end of October, right through
winter. It gets real dry here. Summer, not so much. Definitely can live
without it on a camping trip.

The heated humidifier part on my GoodKnight
definitely requires 120AC. I think it'd take more
battery to run than I'd care to pack short of
pulling a trailer.

Mine's a Respironics M 200 Flex series. Runs on 12V. Past ones on
12V used way to much for anything but a large deep cycle battery. Not
sure about this one. The battery Respironics sells is way overpriced.
Need to do more research.

What's with all the heated humidifiers? I use an old passover style
and sometimes have been known to put crushed ice in it.
Motorcycle content=figurin a way to go back to campin on the scoot
without electricity at hand. Chargin a battery as I ride would be
nice for trips. I have seen mini generators in the past that might be
adapted for charging if a guy was to stay at a non-elec site for a few
days without ridin.

I've been using Earthlink to access Usenet for over 10 years. They still add
10 - 20 new Groups every month. They have two servers so when something's
goofy with one the other is usually up n running. Reliability has been
excellent for the most part...... last week they were down for an evening
and a few years ago they were down for almost a month as they were doing
some sort of server reflog.
When DSL came to the deep, dark woods with another provider that didn't
offer Usenet access I switched my EL account to a 'bring your own access'
type. $9.95/mo. for 8 e-mail accounts that includes 10 MB of Web space for
each. 20 hrs of dialup access/mo. if I need it on the road. I think the Big
Stinkmeister is doing the same.
Dunno if EL is around Canuckia but it might be worth lookin' into.
