Well , they hold air now . Only thing is that after a ride I find a tiny
bit of seepage on the right leg . Not a drop while it's parked , but both
times I've ridden it since I did the bushings I've found just a few drops of
fork oil trickling down the lower leg . I think I can live with that , cuz I
sure don't wanna tear it all down again .
The new voltmeter works well , but I had to rotate it a bit off level to
let the tripmeter reset cable clear the mount bracket , this meter is deeper
than the original . But hey , it works and this one has a damped needle , no
twitches like the old one . I might take the old one apart and see where the
problem is - it just drops to zero , then jumps and twitches , then dead
again . Hey , the worst that can happen is I'll end up with a dead unit ,
which is what I have now .
