Honestly Tom, who gives a fuck?
And if you don't think this is just another political thread, look at your
first question.
Gone for a ride lately? I'm still riding to work and back every day. It's
cold but the ride's only 30-35 minutes. If I go 70+, I make a bigger bubble
around the fairing and it's a bit warmer. Under 65 and there's enough wind
getting around to be cold on the hands, and chest. I'm no longer getting air
on my neck at any speed though, which was the main problem before the
fairing went on. Been comfortable enough right down to 30F. I wear a 3/4
helmet so that's a big deal.
As for wrenching, I'm re-installing the hardware for the Convertible bags.
Need to get some new rubber well nuts, and one of the knobs is missing on
the left bag. Until I find one, I'll just use a bolt and a washer. I don't
intend on taking the bags off and on a lot once they're on there.
Over the winter I'm gonna reseal the motor, taking someone's advice
(nobody?) and assuring that all the gaskets that need replacing, go in dry.
I've got leaks at the front push rod tubes down at the tappet guide, as well
as the rockers, and I need to replace the ferule on the feed line for the
oil filter.
Eventually the primary has to come off for an inner gasket, and the tranny
could use some TLC since it's not shifting from 3rd into 4th every now and
then. It misses and goes neutral, then when I try again, it goes into 5th.
If I were a poser, that would be embarassing. <sfsf>
I'm also thinking about re-installing the anti-dive system, but I need a set
of the bars I'm liking with the reservoir, and I have to get comfortable
with the added seat height when I bring the forks (tree) back up to stock
position. In flat soled shoes I'm on tip toe. With boots, I'm okay, but not
if I step in a ditch.
Have a coffee on me.

Well, the only time I watch CNN, is because FOX, or my other local news
is doing a comercial, when an important breaking story is happening.
I just watch the ones with the best video.
A thumb is a horrible thing to waste on a remote.
I abused mine starting my bike... when I had it.
Now?
I use them for sticking in my ears and wiggling the rest of fingers,
so as to make fun of politicians, and making spitty "Ppppbbbbbbtt's" noises!
