I've been saving a bottle of Alan's Mount Gay Rum that his family gave
to me. Well, I saved it until last night. I raised a little toast to
him last night, and several today. I just opened a mason jar of
pickled hot peppers that he made. Hoo haa ha ho ho hot hott hot. Alan
did pretty well in the canning competitions at the local country
fairs. Nice pickled peppers Alan... burning the fuck out of my mouth!
He'd be laughing "Drink more rum!"

And so I will, as I watch the VCT glue dry.

Cheers, Alan! How's the sailing up there?

Cheers to your friend.. It was about 20 years ago I lost my bud Stan. To
this day on holidays I set out a shot glass and a pipe for him, toss it
over my shoulder at the end of the night.. I know he's up there drivin'
around in that old 69 Chevy, waitin' for me to pass it to the left;)

Bless your friend, keep the great memories...

To Alan!

And another toast to Ronnie. I had 14 uncles at one time but Ronnie has
always been my favorite. As of 02:00 Thurday there are now 10. Vietnam
veteran, father of 2 boys, avid outdoorsman, jokester and all around great
Christian man who will be sorely missed. The Patriot Riders were in full
force for the funeral this afternoon and the tribute was much appreciated,
would have loved to have ridden with them.

The man absolutely loved the outdoors and greatly influenced of my love of
hunting and other outdoor activities. A dead-eye who never needed more than
a single bullet when hunting the deer woods. There was a moment in the
graveside service that tugged on many a heart that knew Ronnie so well when
with eyes closed and heads bowed for the final prayer, there rang but a
single rifle shot from the deep woods of a distant mountain. Happy hunting
my friend.

Good on you! Hope you chased the peppers and rum with a scoop or 3 of ice
