How can I buy rings for an unusual size piston????

I bought a piston off of eBay for an old JT1 Mini Enduro 60 - 1st
oversize piston, but it didn't come with rings! Where can I get rings
for this???

Best you can do is keep looking on ebay. Or, start over and buy a new
piston and rings from a place like Wiseco.

Did the piston come in a box?
If so, did the box have any markings besides JT1 (or whatever motor
company made the bike)?
(Sorry, but I am unfamiliar with the name/model JT1.)
If not, are there any markings on the piston, to give you a clue as to
the brand?
Once you figure who supplied the piston, then you have a good start.
There are good resources for most vintage items. The AHRMA magazine,
"Vintage Views", has some very good resources for vintage parts
suppliers. Get back with me with more info, and maybe i can help
point you in the right direction.

There was a guy at the Will Stoner swap meet last week
with a box full of yamaha NOS pistons and rings. If you
happen to be near Ashland OH Feb 7, 2010 or York PA
March 21, I suggest you attend.
If you remind me a couple days ahead of time, I plan
to be at the Ashland one and could look

Look for a possible source among dealers that have been in business a
long time, or that are selling vintage Yamaha parts.
Maybe the piston will cross over to another use.
The first place that I check for vintage Yamaha parts is
http://www.bjracing.com/ in Dickson, TN. (They mail order stuff to
me, sometimes.)
Although this isn't trials, they might be able to help you.
I would suggest searching ebay for possible vendors, and
maybe one of the advertisers on the http://www.ahrma.org/ web site,
or in their magazine, "Vintage Views",
or rule book: http://www.ahrma.org/Z-2009/ahrma_2009_handbook.pdf

That reminds me.
Get the Yamaha part number here:
http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx
and then check speed and sport which Wuds pointed to above.
If they don't have it, your local Yamaha dealer should be
able to put it in their "parts finder". My local Yamaha dealer
does anyway, I bet it depends on if he likes you.
Note that Speed and Sport typically gets twice to 3 times
suggested retail for the parts they have. If you need that
vintage part, it's usually worth it.
