hi,
i'm going to be working on painting a 1:24 scale NASCAR model
car. if anyone is familiar with the #24 car of Jeff Gordon and has some
tips as to how to go about painting this car then please email me. the
kit is white plastic and i am expected to paint parts of the car blue and
orange. any help would be greatly appreciated.
i have done many 1:48 scale military jets beforehand and this is
my first attempt at painting land-based models.

thanks...john

Cut the decals out, trim right to the color edge, but do not apply.
Temporarily tape to model when masking color seperation lines with
masking tape, so color edges match decal shapes.

FSM ran an article just a couple of months ago on the Gordon car. You
might be able to get a back issue from Kalmbach Publishing. The article
is very well written and illustrated, will be a great help. Hey Paul,
can you help this guy out?

Or, if at all possible, make a 100% xerox copy of the decals and do as
Don
suggests. I did this with my #24 and it worked great!

Good luck,
Jules

John,

The April, 1997 FineScale Modeler has an article on building Gordon's car --
including how to tackle the multicolor paint scheme.
