Please help.

I'm new to using Acrylics for airbrushing. After 15 years using Humbrol
enamels successfully, I thought I would give acrylics a go, and the results
have been encouraging, but the problem I have is this:

The paint keeps drying and building up in the nozzle of the airbrush. Any
Suggestions.

I'm using MM acrylic with its proper thinner, a Badger 150 with a Medium
Head and CO2 as the propellant.

Is there any way of retarding the drying time of the paint?.

And are there any good websites with articles about painting with acrylics?.

Thanks

Adrian Davies

Get yourself some Createx Acrylic Retarder, a little goes a long way. Try at an
art supply store or www.dixieart.com

Yes. It's called "acrylic retarder". You can find it in any good
artists supply store. (Check the yellow pages under "art supplies" or
"artist's supplies".) You can also find it at some craft supply stores.

Also, try using windshield washer fluid instead of the MM thinner. It
works just as well, and it's a lot cheaper. Don't worry about the blue
tint, it's too weak to affect the color of the paint.
