[Armour] Painting with watercolor Guaches

Hi,

I have noticed that over the past several years in Military Modelling
aritcles on painiting armour, authors use water-color Guaches to depict
the typical German tri-colour scheme.

Most recently, an article in June's Military Modelling shows a Panther
base-painted in the Humbrol German yellow followed by a green and red
brown camo pattern painted in Guaches. I am interested to know what the
two specific colours were used for the green and brown camo scheme i
th Guache series and what brand of Guaches are best to achieve this
effect.

Has anyone attempted to paint with Guaches - any tips ?

Now, I have seen some great weathering techniques using water colors, but
I don't think that's what you are talking about here.
