Beginner's Paint set for 1/700 CVs

Hi All:

I just start this hobby and am interested in building all the CVs used in
Pearl Harbor and Midway(it may take me a while). I am trying to put a
shopping list together so I can save some shipping. The question is:

How many paints should I get now ? And what colors ?

I would like to use water-based paint and use paint brush only at this time.

Not sure about the amount to buy but here is a site that might help you decide
which USN colors to start with,( there should be a site for IJN but I don't
know of it):

As far as WW II CVs go, you may have to resort to Ebay for them at:
