Anyway: working on a dual-deployment, baffle deployment design, and I'm
wondering: does anyone have any reasonable estimates of how much volume
is taken up by a packed nylon parachute of a given size?

Calculate the volume of the chute, any additional volume is due to your
packing ability. Packing for minimum space and getting it to open are
two different stories.
