A Very Good Science Fiction Movie!
It's an easy bet that anyone building and flying model rockets
also is interested in science fiction. One company, Stellar
Dimensions, even included a science fiction short story with
their (all wood) rocket kits. There is a good independent SciFi
film making the rounds at art houses that I am sure rocket
hobbyists would be interested in. So, this is my 'heads up.'
The title is simply the single word , "Moon," and it stars Sam
Rockwell. I won't give any spoilers by writing a detailed
review. Just see "Moon!" I know you'll like it.
In San Diego, it's now showing at the Landmark Hillcrest.
Consult your local listings to see where and when it will show
near you. This independent film is unlikely to make it to TV
or to your local video rental store, so see it now. If you liked
"Silent Running," or "Blade Runner" and wish they made
SciFi films that weren't hour-and-a-half long violent Chevrolet
ads (Transformers, puke!), "Moon" is the film for you.
