Subject: Getting back into it
Back in the day it was really easy to get into this sport.  Now, it's
too easy with all the choices you get and by no means do I plan on
starting which is better thread...

Just had a question, If I haven't been into the hobby / sport for some
time, I was wondering were should I start.  Also understand that I
would like to build my car from the ground up.  Not so much with an
RTR.  I know those are great for getting start, but I really would
like to understand more the mechinics that go into the item before I
race it.  That way when I break something I know how to take it apart.

So, what's the best way to get start in the sport?  I was thinking of
doing electric buggy, but wasn't sure if truck would be a better way
to learn how to drive.

Thanks for any help

im into nitro, personally, but getting ready to move to a city where
electric is king so i too have been looking into electric buggies.

personally, i have fallen in love with the Associated Factory Team B44 Buggy
Kit.  you can get just the buggy kit for around $240 and throw in your own
radio, servo, motor, etc and budget yourself to suit your goal.

the beauty about the B44 is Associated has been around forever and probably
be around long after we're gone so parts will always be available.  plus,
from what i've been reading, its the electric buggy to beat at the moment.

good luck.

Thanks for the message!

I'm trying to figure out if I should rolling into trucks or buggies.
From what I have read so far, Trucks are a little more forgiving while
buggy's have a tendcy to break front shock towers.

I guess what I would do is go down to your local track and see what everyone
else is running and see if trucks or buggies are king in your area.

Plus, fixing them is half the fun!!
