Actually, the gyrating thing is just a ground resonance. Full size birds
will do it too under the right conditions. The model will lift off in
ground effect at power settings that it wouldn't be able to maintain
altitude with if you just launched it from your hand three to four feet off
the ground. If it's not picking up, you either don't have enough pitch in

The most direct answer is that the copter doesn't generate enough lift
to take off from the floor; fly it out of your hand. Otherwise, ground
effects cause the copter to gyrate around on the floor and it never
lifts off. Once you have the copter in the air, you can then deal with
trim issues, but you will never be able to do so with it on the floor.

i just got this copter as a gift and it wont work. the blades spin,
but it wont lift off, and it spins unless i push my right stick
forward. ive tried messing with the trim but nothing seems to work

Novus CP & FP

I have had a blade MCx for some time and wanted to go to the net step.
So I was looking at the Novus Heli-Max. Do they have a heading lock
gyro? Will it matter? Are they stable?

I received 2 packages a few days ago, both arriving within 5 minutes
of each other:- A large flatpack garden store and a much smaller
parcel containing a Blade CP pro 2.
The first thing I did was to unpack the heli, put the battery on
charge and then got to grips assembling the garden store.
After half an hour or so I spotted the heli battery was now fully
