I live 25 miles from the nearest LHS, which sells only Morgan Cool Power and/or and Omega (very limited -if any- choice of nitro content) glow fuels at high prices. I recently saw an advertisement for an imported product available via mail order at a decent price (15% Nitro at <$20/gal. to your door). It is... more »

Don't forget to come to the flying field at the fairgrounds for our annual Jan. 1 fun fly. Rain, sleet, sunshine or snow if we can get there. There will be coffee and a pot of chili. Bring what you want to cook over an open fire; hot dogs, etc. Charlie PS: Bring an airplane.

It Flies!
Not the Nobler -- I want help to get that in the air, and with the weather and holidays I haven't expected much help at the flying field. Small Models
As a result of a Parenting Saga* I now have a nifty Dumas kit for a Tiger Moth, with a 17-1/2" wingspan. The kit is intended for rubber power, so everything is light. I haven't decided whether I want to build it as a rubber powered free flight and be happy with 45 second flights, if I want to put my old Telco CO2 motor in... more »

Sheeting foam wing cores
I have a Wing Mfg. A-26 Invader short kit and wood pack that's been sitting in the shop for several years now, mostly due to the fact that I've never built a model with sheeted foam wings. In doing some web searching, I found plenty of discussion on choices of adhesives, but I wasn't able to find a really good tutorial on exactly how... more »
