Kits like the Veron and KeilKraft rubber-powered scale models and other flying
models are available as plans with printed wood packs from
<http://www.replikit.com/>. They don't come with strip wood so you'll need to
try your local model shop for that. Sams in the UK have a cornucopia of kits
and bits, some of which comprise plans + printed sheets + stripwood as you
want. Sams are at <http://www.samsmodels.com/> and I believe they will ship
globally.
Alternatively Guillows and other kits are still available from various sources
on the web and probably also your local model shop.
Hth, and let us know how you get on,

They'll get you started - you can go on from there.
Check out acsupplyco.com for some good prices on Guillows kits if that is
the kind of model you are looking for. Go to the aerospace tab and then to
Guillows.
Or you can contact me. Since I got involved in RC flying, I don't think I'm
going to have time to build most of those stick models I bought a year ago.
Had big plans to build in the winter, but found myself building RC stuff
instead.
I currently have the P-47, P-40, Stearman, Catalina PBY, and some other
stuff. I may end up keeping the Catalina just in case I feel industrious.
