I am building an L-19 Bird Dog model and was wondering what Ultracote
color is closest to the bare metal color that some of the full scale
planes came out in. Thanks!

Ultracote is sold here under the European brand name of Oracover, but is
sold under the trade name of Profilm in UK.

Whilst I have not yet seen it, I suspect Hobby Lobby's
"PolycoverT Covering Material" http://www.hobby-lobby.com/oracover.htm
is simply another "sales gimmick" name to get around one distributor per
product agreements in USA or for advertising purposes. Polycover is still
shown on their web page under the name of "Oracover" as seen in the URL. -
Anyone compared the product? usually the backing paper will have anyone of
the other advertised brands on it and all use the same wrap and seal.

Click the Hobby Lobby URL for an on line colour patches (chart) of the
actual material which reinforces belief only the sales name of the material
has been changed.

Refer also to the Dutch web page which also has a full on line colour chart
