Does anybody know Ken McDowell or Chuck Loven??

From time to time I post a message in an attempt to find out something
about Ken McDowell or Chuck Loven, two of the meanest mothers ever to
wear a gi. Ken was my instructor back in 1970-71. The last I heard,
and I don't know if it's true, is that he worked as a bodyguard and
was shot and killed.

Chuck Loven was Ken's teacher. He also seems to have disappeared; I
can't find a living soul that knows a thing about him. He was a brutal
teacher, and was a judge at one of my belt tests.

Both of these guys were of the Alan Steen/J. Pat Burleson lineage,
back in the "Texas Blood-and-Guts" days of martial arts. If either
one of them came after you, about the only way to stop him would be to
pull out a gun and shoot him.

So I'm just checking, in case some new person here knows something.
I'd especially like to hear something about Ken.
