I remember when CNN gave a lot of time and crediblity to the editorial
writer from the NYT who babbled about how Bush was going to bomb Iran; and
how Bush thought of himself as FDR and the President of Iran as Hitler; and
how the bombing Iran would be just terrible, terrible. Now the same paper is
advocating bombing Iran. Another example of the double standard at work and
play.

You might also realize that when we bombed Afghanistan ( attempting to bomb
them up to the stone age) Iranians put on their roofs signs that said - this
way. They were very disenchanted with their leadership even then.
Iran the country, you defend so much, is controlled by the worst of the
worst right now. It is probably going to come apart at the seams anyway.
Hell the bastards import 50% of their gasoline and only have two refineries.

you lost the moral high ground when this administrations massive stimulus
bill, unread, full of earmarks, tripled the deficit that you whined about
under Bush. You already went to school on this.

shocked that the Iranian administration did not rush to Obama's side after

They're doing pretty ok.
Europe and the US were completely outmaneuvered on the Turkmen gas
reserves. They're all now pledged to China, Iran, and Russia. China
has its own pipe, and Iran has another. The nations have severally
agreed to feed the whole thing into one giant system, for which Russia
will be the distributor and Iran may export some as well using this
new supply to free up some in their south for export.
If we go ahead and build Nabucco or the TransCaspian pipeline, there
is no gas supply for the pipes. Russia is actually going to overpay
for Turkmen gas basically just to remove any spare supply from the
market and ensure that Europe remains on Russian supply lines.
IOW, we're going to get nowhere on anything in this region.
Now, if we go invade Iran and cut these lines, we're effectively at
war with China.
