I borrowed my dad's big penknife. The very same day, it fell out my back
pocket in the woods and I lost it. My dad was cool about it and he bought
me a new knife the next week. We went to the fishing tackle shop and I got
to choose it. It was a great knife, dark wood handles, 2 blades, one large
clip and a sort of screwdriver with a sharp edge along one side which had a
brass liner lock.

It looked like this knife but with a clip blade instead of the hawksbill.
The brass linerlock for the screwdriver blade was the same shape and so was
the handle, don't remember if there was a shield, tho. The blades must have
been carbon steel, cos I blued them with gun blue paste.

Does anyone know if Schrade made such a knife in the early 80s?

I saw this on ebay: http://tiny.cc/LNjZU

In fact there's a ton of older Schrades for sale. Very handy
knives at a fair price, although there's not as much variety
as some makers.

Say Hey Hi King:

You dad should have kicked your ass all over the woods for losing that
