edge of the blade tang and the rivets are recessed so that using the knife
for anything more than a few minutes makes your hand really sore. So I
bought some 550 Paracord (could only get olive drab colour) and bound the
handle then drew the cord through the lanyard hole and made a nice lanyard
with a sort of "hangman's noose" bit between the lanyard and the handle. I
did quite a good job, considering my innate clumsiness, and I only swore
twice.
Now the handle issue is solved, it's a fantastic knife, takes and holds a
great edge and is heavy enough for chopping branches up to 3 or 4" maybe
thicker.
