Let New Orleans Rot!

Just about ever year river front property floods. And, ocean front
property is destroyed by hurricanes. If you are dumb, and or rich
enough, to live in an insane location then you are the one who should
be paying for it.

If an entire city, is dumb enough to live under sea level then THAT
city is the party that should be paying for their own stupidity. New
Orleans is the party responsible for maintaining the levies, NOT the
State or Federal Government.

The only thing that the Federal Government should bail out, is the port
because of all the Mississippi River shipping traffic, and of course
all the oil refineries. But, the rest of New Orleans should be left to
rot for all I care. Those people crazy enough to live there should be
forced to foot the bill. I certainly do NOT want my tax money to be
paying for the stupidity of other people.

Just my opinion, but I am right as always.

So, only those things that may/will have an impact on you should
receive federal money? Interesting criteria. You must be a Christian.

Funny. There was a town in Arizona called "Winkelman Flats" in an
otherwise very steep part of the world. :) Every so may years it'd
get flooded and the gov't would pay for the damage through FEMA.

Reagan's (Hitler like;) bunch said "no more money after this flood,
you people are on your own, we will no longer insure you for free
with gov't money or back up an insurance company with gov't money"

Or something like that. ;)

Anyway...

Guess what happened to Winkelman Flats after that declaration? :)

Completely agree, if I chose to drive a screaming new V8 Mustang GT, my
insurance rates will go up. And I'd be a real dumb ass to expect you folks
to pay for it.

Again, complete agreement here. If I choose to leave my car in the drive way

so tell us, what happened. I'm all for stupid places that get destroyed to
get destroyed again. the difference with rebuilding on a fault line vs. a
place that floods is there's no notice of an earthquake. Weather based
destruction is somewhat predictable.

Chicago was filled in with dirt twice, we don't get flooded by lake
michigan. We're not underwater. Grade level problems can be fixed.

The truth has never been spoken more clear! It's unreal
that my taxes are going to such a thing.

Imagine how much better this country would be if we didn't
have to waste money on the following list of dumb folks:

help for those who are dumb enough to stay there.

In other words, you guys (especially Larry... likening a
natural disaster relief to car insurance) are utter fools.

Larry you're near Cincy, correct?

Should Ohio give back the $2.6 million used for snow removal
back in Jan? What about the other $7 million given for
disaster assistance for Dec-Jan winter storms?
Snow isn't exactly a rarity... why are people still living
in such an area... why aren't they prepared... why couldn't
they pay for the snow shoveling themselves?

The crooked ones or,...oh, I'm sorry, there aren't any other ones. The
